Organised fireworks displays across Solihull are set to begin on Sunday 1 November, with events continuing through Bonfire Night and the following weekend.
Solihull Council’s November visitor newsletter lists displays in Knowle, Shirley and the town centre, including a hospital charity fundraiser and a lower-noise fireworks show.
Here are five events and the timings supplied in the council’s announcement.
Sunday 1 November: Solihull Hospital Charity
The Solihull Hospital Charity Firework Display takes place at Silhillians Sports and Conference Centre in Knowle. Gates open at 4.30pm, with the display scheduled for 6pm.
The event is also set to include charity stalls, games, food and drink, and a Halloween costume competition.
Thursday 5 November: 1st Solihull Bonfire and Fireworks Night
The annual event on Lode Lane opens its gates at 6pm. The bonfire is due to be lit at 7pm, followed by fireworks at 7.15pm.
Friday 6 November: Blossomfield Bonfire Night
Blossomfield’s event is scheduled to run from 6pm to 9pm. The advertised programme includes a professional fireworks display, a bonfire, live entertainment and independent food and drink stalls.
Saturday 7 November: Old Yardleians, Shirley
The Light up the Sky Fireworks Extravaganza runs from 6pm to 10pm, with two fireworks displays planned for 7.30pm and 9pm.
Other advertised attractions include live entertainment, children’s rides, face painting, mascots, food vendors and a bonfire.
Saturday 7 November: Tudor Grange Park
The Solihull Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks Night opens at 4.30pm, when the funfair is also due to open. The bonfire is scheduled for 6.30pm.
A lower-noise display is planned for 7pm, followed by the main display, synchronised to music, at 8pm.
