Police and Crimestoppers are offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man responsible for a series of violent attacks across Solihull.
More than 50 offences have been reported over the last 12 months. Gold chains, bracelets and earrings have been stolen in the attacks.
Pattern of attacks
The suspect has approached lone women and older vulnerable individuals from behind. Victims have been knocked to the ground, hit on the head and face, and in some cases strangled.
Alan Edwards from Crimestoppers said: "The police are working really hard to apprehend this guy, as he is a danger to local people."
Appeal for information
Crimestoppers and West Midlands Police have released photos of the man they are seeking, hoping the images will help identify him or trigger recognition among local residents.
Edwards added: "Somebody in the local area might know somebody who has been selling items, particularly the gold chain, bracelets or earrings. So even though you can't see the guy's face, hopefully something will trigger something."
Police believe the suspect is likely from the local area or has easy access to it, possibly using transport links to move between target locations.
Anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously, and the information will be passed to police.
