Drivers are being advised of daytime restrictions on Coleshill Heath Road and near Bickenhill from Monday 19 October, according to Solihull Council’s latest highways update.
Coleshill Heath Road
Coleshill Heath Road in Chelmsley Wood is listed for closures in both directions between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Monday 19 to Friday 23 October 2026.
The council says a signed diversion route will be in place during the closures.
A446 and A452 roundabout near Bickenhill
Daytime lane closures are also planned on the newly built roundabout connecting the A446 Stonebridge Road and A452 Chester Road near Bickenhill.
These restrictions are listed for weekdays between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Monday 19 to Friday 30 October. Drivers should follow the signs and diversions at the site.
Separate M42 weekend closure
The update also repeats the previously announced M42 weekend restrictions from 9pm on Friday 23 October until 5am on Monday 26 October. Those are separate from the daytime local-road restrictions.
Roadworks arrangements can change. Drivers should check the latest council and HS2 notices before travelling, rather than assuming all restrictions apply for the same dates or hours.
