Solihull libraries will host free author events and quizzes during October and November 2026, with sessions for readers, families and trivia teams.
The programme includes visits from debut novelist Molly Jade and children's author Ben Davis, followed by book and general knowledge quizzes at The Core Library and Balsall Common Library.
Molly Jade at The Core Library
On Saturday 17 October from 10.30am, Molly Jade will discuss The Last Half Blood, her Greek mythology-inspired adventure. The free event requires no booking. Find out more on the library event page.
Ben Davis at Olton Library
Children's author Ben Davis will visit Olton Library on Tuesday 27 October at 2.30pm during half-term. The event is aimed at primary-aged children and their parents or carers. Admission is free, but places must be booked.

Attendees can bring a book they have read to exchange through the book swap. Encore Café will be open for refreshments, which are available to purchase separately.
The quiz will be repeated at Balsall Common Library on Thursday 26 November from 2.15pm, for teams of up to four. Booking details are available here.
