Gardeners are invited to exchange spare seeds at a community event at Hobs Moat Library on Friday 23 October.
The seed swap will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm as part of Green Libraries Week, according to an announcement from Solihull Council.
People can bring excess purchased seeds or seeds harvested at home, including flower, herb and vegetable varieties, to exchange with other gardeners.
The library asks that all seeds brought along are clearly dated and labelled.
Hobs Moat Library is on Ulleries Road, Solihull, B92 8EB.
